Just got bit

My 3 year old 100 gram leo got spooked and bit me real good. Broke the skin and put a 1 inch gash on my finger. Does anyone know if they can cause infection? I have been bit hundreds of time by snakes and never considered infection but I don't know that much about leo bites?

Just care for it as you would any other cut. If it gets red and inflamed, seek medical help.

Clean it, and protect it, exspecialy if you plan to put your hand back in the cage. Sounds like you had a fun experince . Hows godzilla?

Let me tell my horrifying story that ended up in a nice painful bite
My friend calls me hysterical and crying, " I let fluff (her leo) out to walk around the room and I forgot my husband had left a glue trap in the corner, now fluff is stuck on the trap all full off glue!" I drove down to her house and found myself looking at one of the saddest things ever. Fluff was literally stuck to the glue trap and worst of all his whole mouth and nose was covered in glue. I realized he was struggling to open his mouth trying to breath so had no choice but to stick my finger around his mouth to remove the glue and next thing you know, CHOMP on my finger. He lacerated my finger very well to my surprise. I was dripping blood but had to keep on going. My friend was in such panic all she was doing was crying. I slowly removed most of the glue with vegetable oil. That was a day I would never forget.

PICTURES sounds like fun. Are leos worse then snakes? where would you put them on a scale between a 3-4ft snake and a house gecko(the ones that hang off your ears?)
