At the end of the summer I bought a juvenile giant leopard gecko female from someone and the gecko turned out to have MBD. Luckily, she was only 3 months old so there was time to nip it in the bud. When I first got her, she was only 14 grams and I had to hold her and push food into her mouth because she was so weak and passive. Four months later, she's 7 months old and up to 47 grams. She was hungry every day so I fed her more often than the other geckos. Even though she was near breeding weight, she's young and, being a giant, I figure she needs more time to mature. I'm intending to breed her in 2017, which is not a problem because I have 5 other female breeders for next season. All of a sudden this week she stopped being interested in food. Just my luck, out of all the females I have only she is ovulating! She's still not going to be bred this season and I'm in no hurry to start my season but it is ironic that she's the one who's ovulating.
