Hey everyone! Boy, I miss you guys! I'll really have to make a point to come on here more often. Right as I was getting used to life caring for Cadence, I started going back to work. Since then, I've been learning how to balance my life between work and her. It's been interesting to say the least. Now I'm starting to get to the point where I can do things beyond work and baby care. WOO HOO
Where is the time going? Our tiny little newborn didn't stay tiny for nearly long enough! She's so heavy now we strain our backs carrying her around. In all seriousness, she's about 15lbs. For those of you who haven't had a baby in awhile (or ever) that's HUGE for a 2 month old. Oh yea...I should have mentioned she turns 2 months old on Tuesday!
Eric heard her laugh today, too bad I missed it because I was asleep!! She's one happy, smiley baby. Getting her to smile is easy as pie (she was even flirting with a co-worker the other day), but I've been dying to hear her laugh.
She found her hands weeks ago and chews on them like they are the best things in the world. We just got around to taking pictures of her doing it. It was actually more difficult to get pictures of her NOT doing it! She's also taught herself to put her pacifier back into her mouth by herself ... with about a 60 - 70% success rate. When she spits it out and it's sitting on her chest below her mouth, she'll push up with both arms and wiggle around til she's got it back in her mouth. She started doing that awhile ago too, but did it over and over this evening. Smart little girl!
She's not actually sitting by herself, but she does quite well when being supported. I love the smile she's giving Daddy.
Oh, BTW, that's a 6-9 month outfit!!! As you can see, it's really not all that big on her...give her a few weeks and it'll fit perfectly!
