Just wondering if this behavior is normal

i just recently started to house my leos together. one i've had for a year, the other has been in quarentine for like 70 days. they have been housed together for 3 weeks now. i rearrange the tank so there was no territorial issues. the one i have had for a year use to love when i got her out; when i would walk past the tank she would act like she wanted handled (staring at me and trying to climb up the glass). now she seems more content to stay in the tank, and she doesn't act the same when i handle her. the other one i just put in there i just recently started to handle. she doesn't really like to be handled but seems to like being out of the tank. she just runs around like crazy outside the tank.

i guess my concern is more with the one i have had for a year. is it normal for her to just decide to change her attitude about being handled and coming out of her cage? Before the introduction, the cage had two hides. now there is four hides and all types of stuff to climb on. to say the least they shouldn't get bored in there. it's a palace; i spoil them.

I would assume it's normal. I have a male gecko who has been housed alone for most of his life. He is constantly trying to "dig" his way through the glass tank. The only time he hasn't done this is when he was housed with a female gecko. I finally had to remove her because he was giving her no peace and she started to have problems shedding. Maybe you've given her enough to keep her happy in her tank.

I would think it is normal. She now has a companion, so she doesn't need you to fill that space. I don't know if geckos think that way, but most birds and mammals do :main_yes:
