Juvenal leopard gecko not eating lately

So Gex (my Juvenal leopard) has been eating little to nothing lately. I purchased him on the first of February. He is in a 10 gal tank, with paper towels as a substrate. He has 3 hides. One moist on the hot side, one dry on the cool side, and one dry on the hot side. He has a water dish, mealworm dish, and a calcium dish. Last week he was eating 5-7 crickets a day. Now here in the past two days going on three he has only eaten like 2. What is going on here???? Also im using a zoo med uth running at about 90f on the hot side.

Give him some time to adjust and even out. Geckos can be inconsistent in their eating habits. Today is only Feb. 8, so it's been just about a week. I know it's hard and we worry about whether our geckos are OK, but they're hardier than we think. Congratulations on your new gecko.

yea he was eating pretty hefty amounts and now just wont eat a like of food..... but like you said they have weird eating patterns sometimes it seems like....... plus i just change from repti carpet to paper towels
