Keeping the moist hide moist.

Is it okay to keep the moist hide moist at all times?

I know leos can get respiratory problems from this but my leo wont go into his hide unless its wet and he seems to love it when it is wet..i also believe this has helped with his constapation issues and of course shedding problems.

Most of the time he just stretches out on the repticarpet on the hot side.

Thats the idea of a moist hide silly. You keep it humid 24/7 if the leos has had enough of it they leave.

Okay, usually i just add wet substrate to his moist hide whenever i know my leo is close to shedding he only has one hide on the hot side because its a ten gallon tank and i only have room to have one hide on each side.

I have always done it that way because i heard about the risk of a respiratory infection.
