kinky had a bit of stuck shed on him so russ was working it off and kinky just chomped down on him. no strike just a chomp and let go.
all russ said was "kinky just bit me" no ouch or anything. kinky got allot of teeth in and russ did say it hurt a bit more than allot of snake bites. you would never guess kinky had such a big moth hehe

here is kinky all happy and nice after the bite lol

LOL...Tell Russ to rub some dirt on it! :D

Seriously though, I hate that "Thousand Needles" feeling that lingers into the next day. Not that it hurts a lot, but a nagging feeling. Looks like it bled a lot.

Wow, I probably would have cried like a baby. I'm not a big snake person, but kinky is really beautiful!

Ouch! That definately looks like it hurt. Kinky is beautiful! Why is he named Kinky?

he was a gift from a friend of ours. he was born with a slight curve to his spine (not even a kink). but for lack of a better name we named him "kinky". he didnt eat on his own til nearly 1 1/2 years after he was born. he was assist fed and sometimes would take pinky heads before that. since we got him he has never once refused a meal. he is a real survivor :)
he will never breed and is just a "pet" we have had him for several years and this is the first bite ever from him

ink scorpion. he said it hurt a bit after but that it kinda started itching later LOL like a cat scratch does. the bite was washed well and also sprayed with alcohol. i think the reason he said it hurt a bit more than most snakes is because of the length of the teeth. today i am sure it will not be bothering russ a bit because he is thick skinned LOL if it was me i would have cursed kinky and then whined about being bit by him for a day or so LOL

thanks guys :D

p.s. kinky had to poop in this photo prolly another reason he was grumpy

snakes are very good. i have had some gecko bites worse than a snake bite

Very true, I've had annoyed gecko's take out a chunk of my thumb, while none of the snakes that bit me (Ball pythons, corns, black ratsnake, milksnake) Did much other than leave a few puncture wounds and a few drops of blood. I had a gecko bite adn then do a body twist and gouge deep. i was bleeding forever.

yup that whole jaw clinching while body twisting is worse than a bite from a larger colubrid or small- medium boa or med python... as long as the snake isnt a chewer LOL
