Knob Questions?

Hello there everyone, I've been very interested in the Nephrurus species for a while now and there's a few questions that I've really been wondering about.

1. How many species are available in the trade, and which species are the most popular?

2. Which species have the most morphs or possible morphs?

3. Are they widely available in the states? Which are more rare than others?

4. Breeding wise, what draw backs do these species have?

5. Overall what do think about these little guys? And maybe give some tips to an up and coming breeder.:D

And if anyone sales these, let me know. Mostly if you live some what near me. THANKS!

1. How many species are available in the trade, and which species are the most popular? All knobtails are popular, which is dependent on personal taste. Here are 10 Nephrurus species that I can comeup with, and the asterik (*) show the most popular or common found in the US:
Nephrurus amyae *
Nephrurus asper
Nephrurus deleani
Nephrurus laevissimus
Nephrurus levis*
N. l. levis
N. l. pilbarenses
N. l. occidentalis
Nephrurus sheai
Nephrurus stellatus
Nephrurus vertebralis
Nephrurus wheeleri *
Nephrurus milii *

2. Which species have the most morphs or possible morphs?
Nephrurus levis species and Nephrurus milii.

3. Are they widely available in the states? Which are more rare than others?

All listed above are available in the US, but the following are very difficult to find:
Nephrurus asper
Nephrurus deleani
Nephrurus laevissimus
Nephrurus sheai
Nephrurus stellatus
Nephrurus vertebralis

4. Breeding wise, what draw backs do these species have? Breeding really pays it's toll on females.

5. Overall what do think about these little guys? And maybe give some tips to an up and coming breeder. Start with the easiest knobtails to keep, such as the N. milii and N. wheeleri... then graduate up to N. levis and N. amyae.
