one of my little guys seems to have knobby front knees. they look different from my other guys so i know its not right. he does walk a little slower than the other guys. he's also cross-eyed and has trouble with depth perception. we had to take out his brother cuz he kept attacking his tail. he's looking skinnier than usual. he's some kind of albino, not sure if that has anything to do with what's wrong with him. i'll try and get a picture of him, but he likes to pee on me when i take him out lol.

Looks like metabolic bone disease. I have one like this, but mine is much worse; it's actually walking on its rounded elbows. That happens if they don't get enough calcium (if the mother has been deficient, or if they don't lick up enough from their calcium bowl themselves). I would just dust his crickets with calcium, or maybe give him liquid calcium if you have access to that. The vet can do nothing, I'm afraid.

When they're very young, this might be straightened out, but yours looks so big already, I don't think it will go completely away. But you can stop it from progressing with extra calcium. He looks nice fat, so you don't need to fear that it's going to kill him. He's a pretty guy. I would keep him separately, because he might be at a disadvantage with regard to catching food, since he's a bit slower than the others.

Such a big guy is still wetting his pants? :main_rolleyes: That only happened to me with a baby once :main_laugh: I hope he gets tame and used to you very soon. My MBD girl is very tame, but she's very spoiled also since she needs to be hand-fed. When she sees me, she comes and looks up, expecting food...

he's actually not that big. i think him and his brother are about a year old, but definitely not as big as my other two who are 2+ years. so they all have dishes with plain calcium, anything else i should do to help with the mbd? the knobby knees are actually on both knees, he just doesn't like to cooperate for pictures.

That looks like some pretty severe MBD. He needs to see a vet as soon as possible. MBD can affect nearly every bone in their body, including their spine, so this needs to be taken care of asap. It's also quite painful for the little guys. I imagine its similar to having to walk on a broken bone. Your vet will likely give him an injection and then some liquid calcium for you to take home and give to him on a regular basis. Do you supplement his food with vitamins or calcium at all?

P.S. he is a Tremper albino, just for your refrence :) I dont see anything cross eyed about him, but theres only one pic with his eye in it. While your at the vet I would mention that too.
