So I was browsing LLLReptile's selection of.. Reptiles.. And I came across this:

Baby Green Lacertas
CB (captive bred) Lacerta lepida
size: 2-3"
$99
http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/animals/other-lizards/-/baby-green-lacertas/

I was curious as to what this animal looked like so I image-searched it's scientific name.. I was blown away! These are some of the most beautiful reptiles I have ever seen.

I can't find any information on their care or temperament, though.. Could anyone enlighten me a bit on this species? It doesn't seem like this is a very commonly kept, let alone bred species.

Well I did a little searching and it seems they can be pretty friendly. They get pretty good size almost 2 feet with males being bigger and more colorful.
Females can be housed together males can not.
I believe they are also called Jewled lizards or something like that.
BP.net has a thread on them with a nice pic.

Gregg are there still melanistic ones out there? I read that the guy who originaly developed the morph stopped and now they are no longer available because no one else decided to work with that morph.
I would love to see a pic of one.
