The main reason I don't go into that much detail, is, in the 4 1/2 years that I have been breeding, I have never come to need any info on a baby I hatched previous seasons. And, I usually upgrade breeders every 2 years or so.

So, I am not sure why I would need all of that info. What do you use it for?

We have hatch certificates of all our babies when they're born, so I usually use it for that... but it's also nice to know who gets what (some of our won't eat meals etc), who's sick or thinning or something like that, and it works great for line breeding! Eventually I wanted to get a "family tree" for each of the breeders we keep, but it took forever to make 1... so I think I'm going to scrap that idea!

I keep records of every gecko I have ever sold in the past 7+ years out of the 11 years I've been breeding. I have a file on every customer that has purchased a gecko from me, and can pretty much tell every one of them who the parents of their geckos are/were, too.

OK, so I'm a little OCD...
