I put my holes in the top so they can't kick out the substrate so easily. I prefer using eco earth to vermiculite after I caught one of my males eating the vermiculite and depositing it out the other end.

I currently have moss in there, but you could use vermiculite in the same manner and still be fine.

Jake, couple questions:

- What is the wire mesh used for around the moist hide?
- To keep it wet inside, what do you do? Just spray water in there different times in the day? (That is what I do)

Nevermind this, I saw you posted what the use of the screen material is on another thread.

Thanks anyways.

It's window screen. I use it beacuse it really helps them climb up better, as the container is pretty tall. I use the gladware 6 cup container that has interlocking lids. The interlocking lids are perfect beacuse they have a pervect circle in the center that can be cut out. What I do is run the lid under hot water for a bit, then cut the main part off with a knife. The remaining plastic is just cut away with scissors to form a nice smooth edge... I have 7 of thse made exactly like that... They are great! I will hopefully have more pictures up during the week, and can snap a few more of the humid hides for ya...
