I had a pretty awful thing happen a couple of days ago. I had 2 eggs hatch, a RAPTOR and a tremper het. I put the raptor in a tub with another newborn RAPTOR, but I did not have any tremper tubs with empty space available. I went ahead and put the newly hatched tremper in with a 9g baby tremper while I set up a new tub. When I had the tub set up, I opened the drawer, and my hatchling was gone. I was hoping that he got out, but ultimately, he was consumed by his older brother. I had never read, heard of, or experienced anything like this happen, and was not aware that young leopard geckos would eat younger leopard geckos. Unfortunately this was the case with my little guy. Hopefully his death will not be in vain, as I'm hoping someone else reads this and can avoid a similiar situation. I feel very guilty about what happened, but now I know that it will never happen here again.

I'm sorry this happened. Someone else posted something similar on here within the last month and the same thing happened (or else it was you in another post). I had something a little like this happen 2 seasons ago. I have front opening tanks that are divided into 3 sections. I had a pair of newborn aptors in one section and somehow an older baby from the next section over managed to squeeze into their section and took off both their tails. Fortunately they survived, but it was a shame about the tails. Now I make sure I have better fitting dividers and tissue stuffed below the tile.

OMG that must have been an awful experience, I'm sorry. How much older and bigger was the older sibling? I'm glad you posted this to warn others, but I'm so sorry that this hapened to you.

yeah I had three MIA and I was thinking the whole time they had just escaped. I ended up making a fast decision to buy and build a rack, that wont be happening again.
