Neat little article. It's nice to see someone making the arguement publicly about how sand isn't actually natural for desert pets.

Was looking for videos/documentaries with wild leopard geckos and stumbled upon it.. Anyone have any they'd like to share?

This is exactly what I (and some of you guys) and been saying for years!

The notion of using loose sand as a substate has it's origins in the gecko books that where written by biologists / naturalists. These folks are smart, but they usually are NOT gecko owners or breeders.
