I bought a leo from the reptile show and i dont know what morph it is, long story.

Can anyone tell me was thinking SHTCT or Sunglow, its gonna be hard to show you with my camera because its looks different in real life, ill do my best.

The pattern on the body shows but just not the right darkness and the tail is more vibrant orange than in the picture, is it a good deal for $17?

I'm going to try to answer this before Robin does...

It's an SHTCTB...with a GORGEOUS full carrot tail that happens to be partially regenerated...the gecko itself looks good, but the tail could stand to be fattened up a little bit. AWESOME choice, you have good taste for the tang line! For $17...abso-freaking-lutely!

Oh man you have one of those regenerated total carrot tails! I love those, they look like a real carrot! What you've got there is a cute little SHTCTB with an awesome tail! I'm such a fan of the 'carrot' tail that I would have picked him up for that price for sure! nice pick up! All he needs now is a few waxworms

Oh good catch! You will want to move it to the bottom of the tank Leos do much better with belly heat.

that's a secksi tang! too bad about the tail, that is amazing orange on its tail. no way you can buy a leo like that for 17 bucks anywhere else, but you said you bought from a reptile show and the breeder didn't have any info on it? as far as the UTH, i thought the same thing, but looking closer i noticed its the back side of the UTH. that pad is on another tank next to this one i believe.

Aww regenerated tail didn't even notice that, is that why the tail is all orange or was it all orange before it was regenerated?

The guy that sold it to me didn't know much about them, he said he didn't know what kind of morph they were so thats why he was selling them for so cheap. Said he bought them at a smaller show, seems like he hasn't fed him since.

Yeah i saw the tail and it seems skinny to me to, he going on a good diet starting today with crickets and some wax worms for treats, to get his tailed beefed up a little.

Yeah carrot tails are one of my favorite morphs for sure, but i don't see many with a full carrot tail is it because the the regenerated tail? because i have heard of that.

Yes that is a heat mat attached to the side of the tank but another tank not his.

Maybe ill breed him/Her seems like nice genetics.

EDIT: On the bottom of his tail there is a little white with black spotting very very little though, so its not 100% orange.

Sometimes if your lucky, if the tail breaks at a point with orange coloration, the entire regenerated portion of the tail will be orange. This doesnt happen too often though and its pretty cool when it does. But I highly doubt his entire tail was orange before the break. Seeing that it broke pretty far down though, I'm guessing he had a pretty decent carrot tail

lol, who knows, maybe one day it will be...

as far as breeding... if you can get her healthy then yeah, i would say so. her colors are really bright, that's what you look for in a true Tang

wow, its like a really really good tangerine. and for 17 bucks... realy really really really good lol. shame about tail, but doesnt look too bad. enjoy him.
