Leo Nail Clipping??

Ok so I was looking on reptiledirect.com and in their "extras" section they advertise "lizard nail clippers". Now has anyone ever had a need for such a thing? Do y'all find it necessary to clip your leo's nails? If so how often do you end up needing to do it? Is there a quick like in a dog or cats nails?

Lizard nail clippers are for people who have larger lizards (iguanas, monitors, etc) that grow really long and sharp nails. For example I cut my bearded dragon's toe nails so I don't get clawed and so she has healthy feet. A leopard gecko's toe nails are too small/short to cut and they cant really claw you. I also think that its easier for a leopard gecko to file his nails on his/her tank decorations.

Edit: Yes there is a quick and you don't need to cut their nails =]

Asking the pro's what the hells that surposed to mean what makes u think other people have anymore experience than me is it because I don't own 3000 geckos or have a mass breeding facillity I just pride myself on having healthy and well looked after animals people like u make me sick

Jem answered the question perfectly. We have to remember that a 'lizard' can weigh 30lbs sometimes haha!

I'm sure there are PLENTY of things you do not know in this world. What is common knowledge to one may not be for another. That is what this entire forum is about and you are not forced to be here. I think you are implying far too mch from simple text words. You can't hear the implications in someones voice like you would when speaking to them naturally throgh the text. I did not find his response to you sarcastic or degrading at all. I felt he was making a joke on his own lack of knowledge and "coming to the pros" for assistance, not saying anything in regards to you. However, there are some people who insist that everything anyone says is about them because Lord knows the universe revolves around their pinky finger. I feel that most people have better things to do than insult the understanding of a fellow man. And really?? Ya gonna pull the Americans are crap card? Many of us are not only not originally from the U.S., but have likely more worldly experience than yourself. I suggest you reread this thread and think about it from someone elses perspective other than your own for a change.

First. I'm a girl, and second, I was including YOU in the pros remark MrLeoGecko. What I meant by "pros" was Those that have more experience than me. And Jordan, your snipey remark I feel was uncalled for. It was a completely legit question for some one who has never owned a leo before esp. when you click on an accessories page in the LEO section of a reptile web site and see nail clippers listed there.
