No biggie Miami :) I get mistaken all the time for a guy. The Kermit tho is actually 'cause I was born in Montreal and all my friends thought it would be cute to call me a frog since I'm french canadian so I took it to heart, and they all call me Kermit now as kinda an inside joke to their failed insult attempt :)

For MrLeoGecko, I consider just about any one here a Pro since I'm such a greenhorn. I NEVER judge a person's experience based on their age since I learned most of what I know about showing rabbits from 4-H kids (who are ALL under 18). Sometimes the kids know more than us 40 yr olds in certain things. I respect intelligence no matter how it's wrapped.

I think the OP merely meant to say..that's why he's asking the pros...as in that's why he's posting it for others to answers ...not saying that he thinks you are not a pro

That is how I am reading it too. The "pro" refers to everybody in GF, especially MrLeoGecko since you're the one answering.

Yay, so everybody made up~ :)

Back to the original question about clipping nails, you know what, I was seriously considering it recently. Generally you don't need to clip a leo's nail; but one of my gecko has a particularly long nail in one of his finger, and it is starting to bend sideways. Doesn't look comfortable to me when he's walking, so I'm still deciding on whether I should just clip that one off for him (with my human nail clipper).

First. I'm a girl, and second, I was including YOU in the pros remark MrLeoGecko. What I meant by "pros" was Those that have more experience than me. And Jordan, your snipey remark I feel was uncalled for. It was a completely legit question for some one who has never owned a leo before esp. when you click on an accessories page in the LEO section of a reptile web site and see nail clippers listed there.

WOAH hey, i said my answer in a light hearted joking manner. when you posted this i thought you were sharing the funny fact that you found some people will clip their lizards nails... i joined you in that joke as i thought it was funny.
im sorry if thats how it sounded but definitely not how it was meant. i hope everyone else saw it as a light hearted joke.

If that was your attempt at humor, BAD timing. Esp. considering I had just read the negative posts by mrLeogecko right before I read yours. Like some one said sarcasm doesn't come off well in text but it's all good.

I agree that it was light-hearted. Even if it IS sarcasm, you can tell it wasn't directed in a condescending way.

A lot of people get offended by the smallest things. This thread is good evidence of that. People have to realize that they don't have some right entitling them to never be offended. That's not the way the world works. Don't sweat the small stuff.

For those of us who have had leos, this question is a pretty obvious one. But for someone who hasn't, it's a possibility they wouldn't know. However, I think any decent caresheet will explain what is required for proper husbandry.
