Not really a leo but no one really comments in the snake sections.
My sweet! Sorry about the blurry pictures. He's moving quite a bit at this young age.

Thanks! He's only 2 months. Hopefully with his 2X weekly feeding, rather than his once a week feeding he was getting before we bought him, he will gain some weight. He's actually grown a bit since we got him at Daytona. He's 66% het for albino.

Aw, what a pretty/cute lil hognose! I wanted one of those buy heard that they don't make good pets (out of the snake species)? True or False? Hard to care for? Nippy?

Who told you that?! lol. They are awesome! They RARELY bite. They hiss, play dead, and strike with closed mouth before they bite. They are easy to care for too. Probably one of the easiest snakes to care for. He's our first snake ever.

I'll venture to say that Western Hognose are, HANDS DOWN, the best snake to start out with, congrats on your new addition, Matt and Mallorie! Right on! :)

Thanks everyone! Chris-He wasn't as "normal" as the other normals. He's a bit redder and had less pattern than all of his clutchmates so I thought that that might be the indicator that he is het for albino or that he's got some cool hidden gene of somesort. I read in the ball-python book to look for snakes that have something different about them aka genetic markers.

T.T darn it someone beat me to it. - I was going for making pinstripe snows just like that.

Well, I sold that SS to a friend of ours so I don't know if he's going to be doing pinstripe SS's or not. That SS's mom was a Striped Mack Snow and the dad was a MS, so the stiped line passes down I guess.
