I've heard supers are higher in Fat than crickets and mealworms and that their hard shells aren't the best for leopard gecko digestion. I haven't seen anything online saying supers are a staple food item.

Superworms are actually EASIER to digest than mealworms because their exoskeleton is not as hard. They are great staples for adults. And the rule for food should be size of head. Though none of my adults heads are as big as the Superworms I feed them.

Maybe I will switch to supers of that's true. I've seen my gecko eat items the size of her full head so I guess the 1/2 of head rule is false.

It's amazing how much different information is online.

A lot of this is taken directly from caresheets already online.
You may want to change your wording. A lot.

Both mealworms and superworms are higher in fat than some of the other feeders in the market. Mealworms are actually harder to digest than superworms though. Like the sand topic in leopard gecko keeping, mealworms seem to have the same reaction to beardie keepers. I saw pictures of the stomach contents of an impacted bearded dragon last night. There were 30 mealworm shells. Most were fed to the poor dragon several weeks ago prior to the dissection.

Leos obviously don't have the same problem digesting mealworms. But I had no clue they could kill other reptiles until I started to read more about bearded dragons. I was planning to get a beardie to eat all these extra mealworms I'll have. I guess I can't.
