Leopard gecko litter box training help?

My leopard geckos chose the top left corner of their cage to do their business. So i tried to make it easier to clean up and put a circular lid in the corner. They decided to simply go next to it. Nice. I baited it with their old poo, but no results. How do i make them go in the lid?

Try using a piece of paper towel or a napkin in that corner instead of the lid.
