Leopard Gecko Lost Tail / possibly stepped on?

My son took his gecko outside today for some sun, and while they were outside the gecko may have been stepped on. She lost her tail, and we brought her back inside to her enclosure and she has just been laying there, but won't get near her heating pad. She is also not moving her body off the ground when she does move, she drags herself. She won't eat or drink and sometimes it seems as if she is having a seizure? I've put all new bedding (reptile carpet) in cleaned everything to keep it sanitary, put Neosporin on the wound, and put a heating lamp on top of her cage where she is sitting to keep her warm. We are very worried about her and don't know what else to do to help her. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm trying to prepare my son, but I don't know if we should be hopeful or honest? Please help.

If the only problem was that her tail was stepped on and she dropped it, she should be OK, and may just be traumatized. If her body was stepped on there's a chance she has internal injuries and may not survive. I would recommend leaving her alone for a day to see how she does (the tail area does not need treatment). If she's still acting odd in a day, I think she needs a trip to the vet .

poor thing. i agree with the above comment.

be careful with the lamp over her, because if she isnt moving there is a possibility she my get burnt. see if you can gently move her near or onto her heat pad instead.

i hope shes okay.
