Hi, um well my pregnant female which was with my other female were together and the breeder told me that the other female would ovulate if she was with the pregnant female is this true???? And is it possible to have a ovulating and pregnant female at the same time??? And when I do the cooldown period can i start in November and end in February by lowering down the temps until there in 79 deggrees and heat it up through march and breed in march or April or???
And does anybody know a good breeding rack seller thats CHEAP because there all 200- 500 dollars and I dont have that kind of money just for a rack????
THX :main_huh::D

You can keep the females together without worrying about who is ovulating or gravid. Leopard geckos generally don't need to be cooled and most likely 79 degrees isn't cold enough to cool them sufficiently anyway (not that I know for sure since I don't cool mine). The cheapest way to make a rack is to get a cheap metal shelf unit from Lowe's or Home Depot and then to either get tubs with covers (drill holes in the sides) or front-opening tanks (check out www.glasscages.com) and put them on the shelves.

well i built my own rack system for about 125 dollars. idk how much ur looking to spend but i think that is the cheapest way to make a rack system. the only thing is that u have to build it and plan it out.

If u are using metal shelving the rack MUST be grounded if u are using electical wiring for heat otherwise its a shock hazard.

#1 I dont cool
#2 I mix preg and non preg females
#3 aint nothing cheap in this world, I am about to move into the world of racks and tubs, and 40 small shoe boxes and 40 large is $215, then $150 in heat tape, roughly another $200 in wood and then a nice thermostat. O and did I forget furnishings.
