Leopard Gecko Prolems (Too Aggressive, Too frightened)

A 10g tank is way too small for 2 leos, you should have 10g for evey leo example: 1 leo-10g, 2 leos-20g, etc. I have 1 leo right now, but I will be getting another one soon & I have a 20g ready for when it comes, I also have a spare 10g to house the new leo in if they dont get along or until they are adults. They also might be males, & males will fight, some times even to the death. You shouldnt house them together in that small of a tank, also not until you know if they are male or female. The only way the other will not be frightend is if you handle him/her more often, he/she will eventully get used to you. Just imagine a big monster picking you up that has a big booming voice & is 100 times your size, I know I'd be a little scared too. They just have to get used to your smell, touch, voice & after a while they get better.

And if your brothers dont believe you, let them read the threads about fighting & leos getting killed as a result. Just show then & maybe they will finally see, also if your older, tell your parents of the risk & they will set it right, hopfully.

Okay thanks, I'll tell him that we need to seperate them because of lack of room.

what It sounds like to me is that you have 2 very young leopard geckos that are probably just out of the egg or are very young. Do you have any pictures that you could post to show us them so we can see how old they look/ there health as from what I have heard so far is that your brother didn`t do very much reasearch on them before he got them and aspen is not a very good Idea for leopard geckos (it is jagged large and if they were to eat is there would be a good chance of them dying) I would reccomed that you take it out and replace it with paper towel.

Also could you put a description/ picture of what the setup that he has for them? (hides, heat, water, ect...)

If you have any question just ask:main_thumbsup:

corvettefan you must be a really nice older brother because if I would have grown up with siblings that were younger than me I just would have changed them with no ifs, ands or buts, lol. Thank God I grow up as the only child.

Obviously they're young and haven't done the research but you have! You shouldn't let your two little brothers tell you what you should or shouldn't do especially when a living breathing thing is on the line. If they still object after you've shown them the evidence, I believe you have parents or some type of guardian that can mediate and let you do what should be done to insure their health, quality of life and longevity.

I'm way too passive, that's why I seem nice lol. We originally just had my male that I bought, and my oldest, younger brother felt left out or something and got one too (Nike). Because the geckos are in my brothers' room, I don't really see them as much as they do, and my brother that doesn't have a gecko has taken care of mine really well, and feels like it's partly his (which I don't mind at all, in fact I might even hand over all responsibilities of taking care of Shakers to him). So that's where the problem is. It's also partly because my oldest younger brother is a little...well...@$$. Oh, he also wants a Beardie.

Okay, I did it. I'll put up pictures tomarrow. Shakers was really skittish and didn't like the change too much. I check in on him every couple of minutes and last time he calmed down a bit, and he'll probably go to sleem soon. It's such a big change from the old tank which had aspen, two caves, a big log to climb on, water bowl, etc. Tomarrow I'll add some things for him to climb on.

Handled him today for 5-6 minutes. He seems to be checking out his new surroundings. I have to be careful of moving to quick or looming over the tub (still a bit skittish) Not eating worms I put in, but that may be because he's used to moving. I may buy crickets tomarrow and see if that makes a difference. Wish me luck!
