I'm going to go with Nevin on this.
Both are great, and I've worked with both. My first reptile was a bearded dragon. She passed away last year at 10 years of age. Fantastic girl. While a bit more care, she made up for it in personality. This girl was silly. If there was a coke bottle sitting in front of her, she'd chase the bubbles. She'd sleep on my chest while I watched TV. I have tons of pictures of her doing her silly things. She was also fantastic around kids. They could hold her easily, and everything.
Now, for leopard geckos. I love them just as much as beardies. Easy care, but handling is not as good as beardies. Fun to watch, can be housed in groups. Beautiful, and AMAZING eyes. I had one girl that I had hand fed since day one with her. Ever since then, she would come up to me in the cage, big 'ol eyes, just begging for a worm or cricket. Even if she would escape, I would always expect her to show up around feeding time, begging me for some food. Never failed either
Get a feel for both. Heck, you've got all of those cages. Start off with one, and then eventually get the other. Have both, and experience both of their pros and very little cons. They are both great lizards, fun, pretty. Everything. Good luck!
