i have had my sunglow leapord gecko for a month, she shed last week and appeared to have maybe nipped her tail in the process, the shed came off easily so i know this wasn't a problem.

she had another shed this week and the scab on the tip of her tail came off with the shed and looked a bit red, got her out this evening and the tip is all dry and shrivelled and it looks like the bone on the tip may be showing??

i don't know what to do, should i leave it to heal naturally, the nearest vet is quite far so if i can resolve it without having to go that would be easiest.

hope you can help.

Leave it alone, keep it clean and it will probably fall off. You will need to see a vet if the shriveling and/or infected look starts moving up the tail. If there's a raw spot, you could try cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip.
