Leopard Gecko's Color Has Faded??

My 9 year old leopard gecko's color has faded drastically in the last year. She has been having more and more shedding problems, but otherwise is a healthy girl. She was absolutely beautiful, and it saddens me to see her so pale. Is she sick? I've had her 9 years, so I know it's not because she's about to shed. When she does, she comes out the same faded colors as she was before. My home does not have any herp doctors anywhere near it. Please help, I'm worried and I want to know if she's healthy.

sometimes when they get older they loose there colour mine has he was a stunner when younger but now hes dulled in colour

Have you changed her setup at all? Is she warm enough? I know you've had your gecko 9 years, but maybe a little extra warmth could help...other than that, it is likely age is showing a little.

Well actually yes I did change her setup. I changed the cage substrate from sand to tile recently...

maybe she prefers sand?.......Sand absorbs heat more than tile, I think
If it's cold she'll turn pale
