Over supplementation wont cause constipation but can be the reason for urates without feces. Urates are a way for the gecko to rid itself from components that would normally be in urine. This allows for animals living in arid environments to retain the maximum water and still excrete wastes. This is why over supplementation can cause urates without feces.
