So I've had my girl in my males tank for a few weeks now almost a month... I have seen him licking himself but I've seen him do that when he was alone also. She doesn't appear gravid but she is really hard to hold upside down. She is always in her laying box, but she hasn't moved any dirt around... What the heck?! Shes never bred before, shes bigger than the minimum weight she must be, has a big fat tail, has vitamins .......WTH!!!! She jus went through a shed and everything was great!

Any ideas?!

I put my males and females together mid-Jan when not all the females have ovulated yet. Some females lay their first eggs as soon as early Feb. and some don't lay their first eggs till April. Hang in there. If you can see her underside, you may be able to check for ovulation (2 pink circles in abdomen) or eggs. If she won't let you turn her over, you can either lift her back end by the tail and check or put her in a glass container, hold it up and look underneath.
