So, i bougth a suposedly temperature hatches male (about 4 inches head to tail), as soon as i placed it in leia's habitat leaia squared up and bit him more like snatched him by the middle had to intervein so she would let him go, thankfully she didnt make him bleed or anything now they are in diff habitats... Question is... How long till i can put them together?

If the juvie is truly a male, the short answer is never, unless you're planning to breed. If you're planning to breed (think really carefully about this), you can try them together when the male is about 9 months and at least 50 grams. If they're both females, you can try them together when the juvie is an adult close in size to the one you already have. In general, no matter what the size or gender, new geckos need to be quarantined for at least a month.

i agree. you should really think about the risks of housing them together too. the are solitary in the wild and many don't get along in captivity either. in my experience they seem to get along okay as youngsters but as soon as they reach maturity they become difficult to keep 'happily' together. I started keeping females together but they are all separated now as they became cantankerous with each other. Iv had one bad fight that cost me £600 at the vets and a tail loss due to squabbles.

wow.... :( ive always seen videos of ppl housing them together and i just thought i could,oh well, they are now on different enclosures, aide by side so the can still see each other... they female was still trying to bit him every time she saw him on the other side... but she has stopped... even though ill follow the advice and only put them together when the juvi reaches adulthood and/if i want to breed them

thanks for the advice!
