hey guys. i am having a big problem. one of my geckos are sick. he is a 3 month old blazing blizzard het for Diablo Blanco. he was acting fine and active. eating mealworms every night. then one day he went into a shed. like a fool i did not have a humid hide for him. :(... he had a bad shed and had the shed stuck on his toes and nose for a whole day till i assisted him with tweezers. ever since then. he is not eating, moving around very very lethargic, and have not pooped yet.
by the way, he is in a rack system bin, with paper towels. it seems like he is impacted but i dont know how. maybe from mealworms hard shell?
i have been force feeding for about 3 days with vit d3. but still no poop. i dont understand what i am doing wrong. i feel so bad. i dont want anything to happen to my gecko. i would love if anyone can give me any kind of tips. im thinking about taking him to a vet when i get the money, but until then, is there anything i can do?

I'm not completely sure how long it was between the shed and now, but the removing of the shed may have stressed it out bigtime and that could cause him to go off feed. If I had a gecko that didn't eat for a few days but didn't have any other markers of ill health, I wouldn't worry about it. BUT, do what makes you feel comfortable and take it to the vet if it would ease your mind.

When my leo is shedding, about to shed, or has just shedded, I take a plastic container with a lid (with holes punched in the top) and put some moist paper towel in it. I set it on top of a heating pad on low heat, then I put her in there for about a half hour or so. I mist her a couple times, paying special attention to her toes, which almost always retain some skin and make me paranoid lol. She doesn't seem to get too stressed out when I do this, and the skin just kind of dissolves off her toes. I also keep a humid hide in her tank.
