So one of my females, Cleo, became gravid several months back. I couldn't remember ever having exposed her to a male, so I thought they would be infertile.

When she laid her first clutch, they were firm and white. I still thought they were infertile, but a little part of me had doubts, so I incubated.

Well, lo and behold, 34 days later,a baby pops out!

Males I have in my collection: Snow blizzard het bell, SHT

I wouldn't have put her with my blizzard, but I don't remember putting her with my SHT either. It's possible she retained sperm from a pairing at the breeder's, but I believe she said she hadn't put her with anyone either.

Immaculate conception? Not likely. Who's the baby daddy?

(I realize it's not exactly possible to tell just from the pic, that's why this is a game ;) )

since the baby appears to be a tangerine and probably will hypo out i think the daddy would be the SHT. or if the breeder exposed her to any it was likely to be a tangerine of sorts too. thats weird tho, i have a female i feel the same about but i did expose to males but i didnt see them mate but she has laid fertile eggs and i have had her since she was a baby so i dont know LOL

Updated pic of hatchling at 3 weeks old. We've decided to call him Alfanzo. And he is most definitely going to be a holdback.
