I was putting the reps to bed last night. Lights off on that one, heat on that one, feed this one, take out uneaten food for this one, so on.
I noticed the gecko, 9 months old on Feb 1, was trying to turn his body so he can lick himself. One rear leg up in the air, stretching tongue, trying to lick something. I thought aww, he has a mealie attached to him. But it wasn't a mealie! It was his "dangler"! He was licking himself - there!
That was the first time I have seen a reptile's private parts let alone seeing on licking himself. Why was he doing that? For pleasure, was it itchy, hurt, did he think it was a mealie? LOL. I am just wondering if this is ok.
