Licking?

I know leopard geckos will lick things to merely check them out, but my little guy will start licking my fingers and continue to lick them for quite a while, moving to lick all over my hand much like a dog does with no hesitation. It feels much less like a "I wonder what this is" lick, and more just like he thinks my fingers taste good. I think it's adorable, but I was wondering if this is something they normally do since I haven't been able to find anything on it.

EDIT: He was doing it again just a moment ago and then he suddenly tried to bite me for the first time, so maybe it's a food thing?

Haven't seen this before. Maybe he's hoping your fingers are really huge superworms. Maybe he likes the salty taste. Enjoy him.

Haha, maybe. I definitely will, it both tickles and is adorable, so I can't really complain

Some of my leos display similar behavior to a point where my sweaty hands are wiped clean -__-

@aliza: remember i posted a thread regarding the licking issue last year? HaHa!

As for the trying to playfully bite you, seems that adults tend to do this more. Perfectly normal behavior of a curious leo :D
