lid or no lid? and..

okay so i attempted to incubate in cage for about 4 eggs.. didnt work they all died..

so i bought a incubator from tractor supply company

the first 2 eggs i put in.. about 3 weeks ago or so. 1 is pinktinted with visible veins the other is just white.. no noticeable veins.

i just put 2 more eggs in the same container.

soo.....

1. i have the eggs set at 86 degrees. this is fine right?
2. i have all 4 in the same deli cup with the lid on. should i leave the lid on? or take it off?
3. should i put them in a 2 separate cups? i have TONS of room in this thing.

1. Yep, this is fine
2. that's up to you. If there are no holes in the deli cup, you'll want to open it really quickly once a week or so to let new oxygen in
3. the only thing you need to worry about is the hatchlings rolling the other eggs. If there are less eggs in a container, there is less of a likelihood that a hatchling will accidentally drown its siblings

1. That temp should give you a mix of males and females
2. I leave the lid on mine and just open it once a week like noted above, I only snap down one side of the lid though so any condensation rolls down one side and doesn't drip on the eggs
3. I usually keep clutch mates together, 2 per container, just so its easier to keep track of who came from who and I write the date they were laid on the lid just so I can keep an extra watch and know when I should start checking daily for my little guys. This is my first breeding season so i'm a newbie too but since clutch mates hatch close together its easier for me to know which ones should hatch soon and they won't be disturbing other eggs that still have a ways to go.

okay the 2 newest eggs are starting to get pink..

the older good egg is starting to get a little bigger and the shape is changing.. normal right?

Yes thats normal, but im guessing you know already, since you have some babies now lol.. My 2 eggs(bellas first clutch) finally hatched today and yesterday. I got a normal het bell, and a tangerine enigma
