Life Expectancy Of A Leopard Gecko?

Anybody know the life expectancy of a leopard gecko?

From what I've heard it's 20 years, on average. I've also heard males tend to live longer.

yea I heard one died at 27 in Texas, but idk. Thanks though, and I hope that my gecko does live that long! Cheers

I think the average life expectancy for leopard geckos is about 15 years, and males do live longer than females. Going through egging lowers the lifespan for females significantly. My vet has had a pair for over 20 years, and I talked with a guy at the NARBC Show who had a lone male for over 22 years! My oldest geckos are between 12-14 years old.

I doubt it I had the guy reach in and pick two random ones and one was a male and one was a female.

The St Louis Zoo had or has a leopard gecko that is 29 years old!

Ok incredibly dumb question-if I do not breed my female (because I think Zabo is) her years will not be cut back because apparently laying eggs cuts back time a lot...
