So my boyfriend bought me a lightbox for my bday, and I need any tips and advice for it. I'm totally lost. I thought it'd be pretty simple. I must be overlooking something.

It's similar to this one> HERE

I am highly interested in tips for light placement and how the box is supposed to go. THere weren't any instructions.

Basically you set it up the way they have it on their site. before shooting with the geckos place something about the same size and heigt in the box, and adjust the lights on the sides so you don't get a heavy shadow under the object. I've been reading up on it, and it seems like there is personal preference when it comes to having a light in the front. If you do chose to use one focus it above the object for ambient light rather than directly on the object which would wash it out. I'm no expert, but those are some of the answers I found in my research.

I agree with ajveachster, you just need to play around with the lights until you have the look you want. If you put a light in front it will not have the diffusion that the side lights have due to the side panels. You will need to find something else to diffuse the light.

Look around on the internet for tutorials on lighting for product photography, you should be able to find instructions and lighting diagrams.
