I plan on having a single crested gecko in a 20 gallon with a pothos plant. Do I need to use a ReptiSun or is there a cheaper light that is also good? Thanks :)

Pothos will grow fine under just about any lighting. In my tanks with Pothos I just use a regular household, 60watt Compact Flouresant bulb and the Pothos thrive.

It will give off some heat, so you want to get a pretty low wattage, for a 20 gal I'd say a 25-40 watt would be as high as you'd want to go. CF bulbs give off better lighting than regular bulbs. You can find them just about anywhere, walmart, Target, most super markets and drugstores. Hardware stores should have them too.

You can also use the regular, tube fouresants, I just like CFs because they're more effecient and look better IMO. Any of the "under the counter" style lights work just fine.
