For a 40 gallon, how long should the UVB hood be? And what kind of basking bulb do you recommend for a juvenile and an adult? Thanks

I use a 24" hood and a 75W basking spot lamp for an adult. I've never had a juvie.

I use a 24" Shoplight with a repti-sun 10.0 and a daylight fluorescent tube for UV and visible light, and a 75 watt halogen floodlight for heat.
