Russ this is not the owner of the boa because that is my brother and he is not here at the moment.I believe it is heat at night because we live in the same room(basement) and, here in Chicago it is starting to get colder so he wants another type of heat for night besides the UTH.
I use black heat lights when necessary, red is also fine. I'm not sure if the blue moon lights bother them, never tried it. You could also use a ceramic heat emitter.
RBI Radiant heat panels are sweet. They heat not just the surface of the herp but it penetrates through to the deep muscle tissue more effectively than bulbs or heat tape. Just my opinion...
For heat I would reccoment the radiant heat panels as well. If finances don't allow you to go that route, Ceramic heat emitters are a less expensive alternative that will work well.
thanks for the help guys!! im going to use the light for night times it drops down to 70 at night in the tank and i want to make it a little hotter at night the tank is about 48x24x24
