First time leo owner & had him for ~3months now. Here's the situation. Swapped Clyde into a 20 long about a week ago after cleaning it out. He started to shed, & has cleaned most of his body, but his arms, tail, and of course his face. That's the part that has be concerned. He hasn't eaten in a week & so last night I gave him a little warm water dish to chill in & forced him to get a little wet, this caused his eyes to finally open, so he wasn't getting scared anymore. But this morning he was back to closed eyes in the humid hide.

My thoughts are for now to keep the tank more humid, keep the dish of warm water in there & add more ambient air heat with a ceramic bulb to hopefully raise the humidity up & loosen all the extra skin. I'm more worried about how long he can go without food. I left him in a 10 gallon & he wouldn't eat, mind you this was after his eyes opened. Ideas?

The stuck shed needs to be removed ASAP. It will constrict blood flow and cause loss of toes or even worse. Soak him for a few min. and use a Q-tip to carefully remove the skin from the legs, feet, toes, and tail. As far as the shed on its head, you can use the same process but I would be very carefull around the face and eyes.

Ill work on his skin when I get home. He's got 2 dry hides, one on each end of the tank & a humid hide in the middle that's still slightly on the heat pad.

i just went through the same thing with a rescue. i gave her warm soaks and used a warm wet qtip to gently roll the shed off her face. she also was starving from not being able to see so she gets handfed now. unfortunately by the time i got her some of her toes were already constricted and dead but she went through this shed normally. good luck!
