Ok, so I can't wait to post pictures of the two... They should arrive tomorrow, but here is a picture that the breeder sent me.

Help with names... I'm not big into naming things, but I feel like snakes should be named. Ha. What I've got so far is possible Valentine for the male (meaning health and love in Latin) and Eve for the female (meaning life in Hebrew). I'm not to set on the names, so suggestions would be appreciated. :)

The albino is the male, and the female is het Limburg.

Those some Gorgeous Rosys! Limburg Albinos IMO are the nicest of the 3 strains of Albino.

Very nice. I really like the albino. Good luck with that pair. I think the names you chose are fine. I might go with Valentino rather than Valentine because it sounds a little bit more masculine, but that's up to you.

Ok so they're HERE!!! I grabbed these shots. Unfortunately the camera that I had to use to be able to upload pictures to my laptop didn't quite catch the colors of the male quite as well as my regular camera.

But yea... Here they are.... (Note I'm still a little sore about the other male, which was much brighter orange, being paid for in the middle of my communication with the guy, but I'm pretty satisified with this male.)

I have a BAD feeling, this is going to be the start of another addiction... :-/

OK Whitney, would you STOP?!?!?! You're making me want one now, too. I think it's contageous! :main_laugh:

Seriously though, they're really nice! I envy you! Congrats with the two of them! :main_yes:

Maurice, thanks! You know I'll be posting more pictures as they settle in.

Derek, I have noticed more and more people purchasing these snakes. Eh, whatever floats their boat ha. I just think their gorgeous. I can't wait for more. I'm on the waiting list ofr a hypo Bay of LA. I actually paid for one, but it was previous sold just not marked on the site. The guy is has me on the list for one later this year, I guess. I probably should have gone ahead and purchased a male from this years pairing, so that the female from the next pairing would be unrelated, but I guess I'll just have to search harder for an unrelated male.

I'm obsessed. I've banned myself from the snake section of classifieds.

Hahaha, I know what you mean, I'm trying for a pair of hyper anza borregos, ortiz, and limburg albinos as well. I really do love these little boas, and they do seem to be popping up more often. I think more people are realizing how wonderful these little snakes are.

Yea... I just want to start slow though... I'm not rushing getting too many locales. I don't want it to be like leopard geckos, where you get a nice group and the next thing you know, you can't sell them because everyone and their brother has them and is breeding them. I see rosies going that direction. I figure, at least with just one group, by the time they're both ready to breed, I'll be able to gauge the market a little better. Ya know? I mean, that probably won't stop me from getting a one more pair at some point this year, but it will definitely stop me from getting too many.

I also wouldn't mind a pair of Anerythristic Coastal Rosy Boas

Oh, and when I went to check on them last night, the female tried to bite me...

They are still nameless. :-/

I actually found a pretty good deal on a trio of Mexicans, waiting for the guy to get back to me on their locals and temperaments though.

On your female biting, I'm not sure if Limburgs are a coastal variety or not but I heard that the coastals can be a bit more nippy than their inland cousins.

Yep, Nigel you beat me too it.. Ha..

She's ok now. I think I just woke her.

I fed them Saturday, and they ate wonderfully. I did see a problem in that neither would eat the frozen unless it was held in front of them. When just placed in the feeding tubs, they were like 'whatever man' but as soon as I picked em up, they gobbled up the meal.

Seeing them hand feed like that could be a potential problem in time, but at the same time it made me want to just keep feeding them. Ha. They were gentle when grabbing from my hand, which is not the case when it comes to my BP I'm watching. He's definitely a snatcher.

If I had more time off, I would definitely be getting more, but no more time off, and finances need to be watched, as the company I work for is making cuts when needed and where needed. I mean the snakes are great, but I don't want to spend up my cash in case of. Ha. I certainly found another Limburg that I'd love to have, but no time off and shipping is a little high with excess fees.
