I have seen a lot of impressive pictures of juvenile Line Bred Snows (eg TUGs, Gem, ..) so I wonder if they keep this contrast in maturity as well. Has anyone pics of adult ones or can name me a source so I can get a clue how they improve? Thanks a lot in advance, regards, Andrea

There is a gem and a line bred snow pic on my website in the breeder section.

They change a lot just like the mack snows do. I have three adult line bred snows and they are mostly gray, black, and white with no yellow like the macks usually have. They are all pretty spotty. My gem male is very faded. He always looks like he's getting ready to shed. I have no idea how he looked when he was little.

Gems and TUGs are both Dominant. Kristi when you say Line Bred Snow on your website are you referring to the "Classic" Line Bred Snow that Albey and A-1 Reptiles are working on?

Anges is a TUG line bred. Samara and Lydia are Albey line breds, but they're not on my site right now since I haven't bred them yet.

I have some snows that look mack since like you said show at least a little yellow, but all of my hatchlings don't show any yellow just the grey and black and white. So does that mean mine have mack and some other lb snow in it?

Thank you Kristi, Agnes and Pogue are really beautiful, so they keep their contrasts and have no yellow, thats what I wanted to know.

@redsman: Its common for Mack Snow Hatchlings to hatch black and white (grey), the yellow shows up with age.

Kristi has very gorgeous snows :main_yes:

I figured I would chime in too since this is what we have produced and worked with the most (we are very small-scale, and truly consider ourselves more of a hobbyist since we will never be vending at any shows)..

We have one Line Bred Snow (Albey) female named Nefertari, and she is the mother to most of the babies we've produced. She has no yellow that I can see on her, except for a slight tint that can only be seen in certain lighting (like in the pic below)

We bred her with a Mack Snow.. so her offspring do get some yellow as they age.

From what I understand from the Snows, no matter how white the Snow you start with is, you will still get a range of color. However, the whiter the breeder, the range of color that you do get will still be in the high-white range. I don't have the full-grown adult pics of most of the babies, but here is one that we produced last year and sold locally to a friend, so we get to see him pretty often:

With Nefertari, and remember this is with only one Line Bred Snow parent:

We've even had a few babies that hatched out normal to be ridiculously white, which I have found very interesting.

The Albey Snows seem to decrease in yellow as they age sometimes.
