Am in process of settimg up a blue day gecko habitat. I picked up a second hand terrarium 18" square 24" high. I washed out with peroxide (just in case) added hydro balls for drainage, nylon screen to seperate from the fir bark peat substrate. Did some research and then added an orchid, a bromeliad, african violeys and some pothos. I also siliconed a couple of cork bark sections on sides which will be getting some feather moss planted on them. I thought to use the moss as a ground cover. For lighting I have 5.0 uvb floresent and a 75 watt basking spot. temperature seems to sit beyween 85-90 f and the humidity sits at 55ish. I think yhe humidity needs to higher any suggestions, I have been spraying water twice a day.

Wow Awesome! I see some of the Matierals like the Strechable Bark at petsmart some times! Very Creative!
May i recommend that you add more leafs on the left side of the enclosure just in case your Gecko takes a tumble so it lands on that instead of taking a bigger fall? Other wise the rest of the Cage looks like some thing a Gecko could purely relax in.

Does the light strip cover the entire top of the cage, or just half, like the back half or front half?

Thanks everyone. The light is an aquarium strip I am not using and it covers about the middle third of tank , I also have a 75w basking lamp at the back above the cork log so critter can get closer if it wants

Well I finally brought little fella home on Sat (was away on vacay til then) placed him in terrarium with a truckload of pinheads and watched as half of the pinheads escaped thru slidong door troughs. So my living room has become a pinhead sanctuary. Lol. Was a little worried he wasn't getting enough to eat so added some baby food (2-3 parts mango kiwi and 1 part turkey veg for protien aldo added some calcium) which he is eating right now Yay.
