This may be a stupid question but one that I am curious about.
Are there any lizards that are kept as pets that do not require under belly heat or uvb/heat light sources above normal room temps?

There are a few species that do well in the 70-76F range, normal room temps. Crested geckos and gargoyles for example(pretty much all Rhacs) are good easy species that don't require heat if your room temps are in that area. More difficult species are Uroplatus leaf tails and Cat Geckos.

yeah def the rhac species do well at room temps, peacock chameleons also do well at room temps, although they are a harder species to keep.
