Longest living tortoise?

Just curious what species of tortis lives the longest that you can leagally owen?

all torts and turtles live long doesnt matter the size or shap. lets just say if u get a tort and keep it u will die before it if it was taken care of real good

I once herd of a snapping turttle that had musket round's in his back!!! Hope that gives some kind of a referace.

Heard of the musket this to,kinda interesting. Dont really want one just curious, my aunt has a macaw and she said that it will live longer than her. Kinda got me wonderin, Y would i want a pet turttle/tortis, got a pond full of snapers,softshell and painters behind the house. Thanks for the replys

Let's just put it this way...

If you own any turtle or tortoise, I think it would be a wise decision to put it in your will. Then recommend your children do the same, just in case...
