no unfortunately the toes will not grow back. however in most cases a couple of missing toes will not affect them that bad at all, but i would keep an eye on her next time and try and catch it early. maybe even give her a sauna as soon as you notice her starting to shed.

when shed gets stuck it dries up and constricts the blood vessels to the appendages. without blood flow the toes basically die and fall off with the stuck shed. best way to avoid it is to ensure there is a moist hide that helps them shed, but some geckos still have issues especially on their toes.

They lose their toe TIPS, not their toes. What you can do to avoid this in the future is to provide a closed deli cup with warm, wet paper towel in there for shedding. Just take a deli cup or tupperware container, cut a hole big enough for a gecko to slip through in the top or at the bottom as entrance, and voila! If you have an "open" shedding box or egg-laying cave, the moist paper towel will dry up quickly, and then the gecko sheds when you're not there and doesn't have enough humidity.

I use those in all my cages and change the towels/refill warm water daily, and it works just fine. A few of my hatchlings had shedding issues and lost a toe tip or two. Even if you gently scrub their tiny feet with a q-tip, it's often too late, or the scrubbing makes the toes red, and the tips fall off, anyway. The bigger the gecko, the easier it is to get stuck shed off. Just don't be afraid to hold it still. If your gecko is an adult, frequent handling should make it tame enough, so it wouldn't mind a nice little warm bath and a q-tip helping him out of his "socks."

One of my geckos is missing all but one of the tips of his toes. His previous owner didn't have a moist hide at all, an under tank heater that only sort of worked, and a heat lamp for the cage. Needless to say he lived a tough life before I got him. He also had shedding issues. Since I got him last summer, he has yet to have a bad shed. He spends most of his time in the moist hide. I feel bad for him, he tries to climb things and can't, but he keeps struggling. He is super curious, but since he can't hang onto anything I always keep a very close eye on him so he can't get hurt.
