Lots of tail shaking

Well today we noticed Bubba was vibrating his tail a lot and it was pretty noisy, so we had to seperate him from Freya as we dont want any unexpected babies.

Freya seems fine and doesnt have any ovulating marks from what i can see. She is now being housed with Daisy and they seem fine No agression or anything negative :main_thumbsup:

The only problem is Bubba is on his own now but still rattling his tail. It seems to vibrate on the coconut hide so its pretty noisy hehe.

He's only about 6 months old but atm he just seems really frisky. Its kinda funny but i also feel sorry for the poor little guy.

Anyone have any ideas how long he will do this for? When i got my other male he was 8 months old and only started to seem breeding grumpy at about a year old.

He'll do it for as long as he smells the female's scent in the tank. If you wash the substrate you have or replace it, he should stop doing it so much.

I agree with Maia, try to remove/clean anything that might smell like a female. One time we had to move a male to a whole other room to get him to calm down enough to eat and act normally.

Maybe I'm wrong but if he can see her as well, he may keep doing this right? I'm more curious than suggesting.

Im gonna do a thorough clean of his tank today to get any smell out. Since last night he has calmed down quite a lot but im still doing the clean to make sure hes not stressing.

Other than him being frisky he seems happy enough. Hes always been very chilled and likes to be handled, i was just noticing recently he seemed to be getting a little hyper hehe.

The girlies that were put together are still doing good Daisy seems to have learnt her lesson now and instead of getting all up in Freya's face like she did with Peppa she is just doing her own thing and saying hello when they cross paths
