i have an exo-terra moonlight "night-glo" bulb thats 50W. i don't know if the light bothers her at all but im afraid it will heat her up a little too much. it gets about 75-80 with it on and upper 60-lower 70 with it off.
basically im looking for a bulb that wont bother a crestie and wont create too much heat for night time viewing.
the neat thing about the bulb i have is that it makes live leaves look deep red :p

I keep my adults at 75-80 in the summer and they do fine. Anything above 84 is generally stressful and potentially lethal. I'd say that temp is fine. What you might want to consider is getting a 15-25 watt red bulb. You can find them at walmart. They put off virtually no heat.
