Luau BBQ

In about two weeks I'm planning to have a Luau BBQ in my BFs backyard. They have a pool, grill, outdoor tables, lounge chairs, etc. I thought it would be a great place, but I'm having issues trying to make out a menu and cheap festive decorations. Has anyone thrown a Luau Party or have any ideas.

I've found websites with leis and garland for really cheap but thats as far as it goes, lol.

I do a real nice appitizer at my resteraunt, cook a pork tenderloin, then cut it into 1/4" medalions, then make a mango-pineapple salsa(take a mango, pineapple, red onion, green and red bell peppers, and dice then pretty small, mix it all together with a little minced parsley, crushed red pepper, lime juice and orange marmalade, put a little spoonful ontop of each pork each pork medalion and your done, its AWSOME

You could use some of those refillable Tiki torches that they sell at L*we's or H*me Dep*t type places, maybe T*rget? I don't suppose you'll be burying a pig? :main_laugh:

please be sure to include me on the guest list when u are dancing hehe. but something good on grill woudl be like pineapple slices with some brown sugar on them lightly grilled also heard peaches like that to are good havent tried it YET. that is on plans for this summer though
