So it is a Mack Snow Jungle yeah?
So glad someone replied! Lol
Well I'm not sure, the lady who is selling her to me put the same picture on here in October 2007, I've just emailed her for an updated picture and also her size/age?
She is gorgeous though and I pick her up on Sunday :)

Well the gecko on the pic looks realy realy much like an MS.
It would be good to know how old it was on the pic and how much the weight was.
But to say one thing, when its from oct 07 than you will have an at least 10-11 month old gecko and that one won´´t realy look like the one you will get anymore(too many sheds).
Could realy be that you will get a yellowish Gecko(if it´´s stillt like that and 11 Month old, you have got a very very nice MS!!!).

Keep us updated on the pics of her okay?

EDIT: you should ask for age bod update pics and parents to make sure you know everything you need :)

No, I was wrong about the posting, she was born on 30/05/2008 and here are some updated pictures (taken today - the breeder is lovely and very very helpful) - let me know as I see a bit of orange in her?

Hopefully other's reply as I'm thinking the same as you, the lady said its a MS Jungle but it does look like its a Hypo to me too although I am very unexperienced in this area!!....

She is very gorgeous, has some yellow but not much :D :main_yes:

I believe that in order to be Jungle, the bands that are normally on the tail need to be broken, and it looks like this holds true for this gecko :main_yes: :main_yes: So I would agree that it is Jungle, and maybe Hypo as well? It still has quite a bit of growing to do, so it may develop more and more spots as it ages. Did you ever get any pics of the parents?

Very nice addition nonetheless!!!! :smitten:

Wooo yeah, thank you Jess for responding :) was starting to lose hope :main_lipsrsealed: lol.

Thank you, does make sense, we picked her up yesterday (2 hour drive there and back but def worth it!!!) - she seems to have blue eyes and also has orange legs (very cute)... I'm pretty sure she has some hypo in her but we'll see (as you say she still has quite a bit of growing to do - only 2 months old, as hoping to know exactly what she is though lol). She is stunning though :)

Oh and no do not know the parents, the girl I bought her off mentioned that she didn't have the parents, was just given the eggs from someone else...

You're very welcome :)

It would have been interesting to see parent pics, so that's a bummer, we would have known if she really was Hypo or not (but that's okay :D) She is very very gorgeous :sweetheart:

I believe that reduced spotting gets passed down onto offspring anyway, even if the gecko isn't Hypo. We have a Line Bred Snow that has reduced spotting, but isn't Hypo at all, and her babies all have much less spotting than other Snow babies that we have.

When you say "reduced spotting", do you mean that "normal" mack snows have more spots than the one I have? Sorry, completely new to this, so learning :) And yes it is a shame that we don't know what the parents looked like but she is absolutely lovely :) (ate 10 crickets and a wax worm in her first night as well!!! lol).

Also, on a completely different note, I have 2 normals as well and one seems to be a lot lighter than the other with one having a lot more orange in his tail, his parents were: mother - normal and father - orange and also carrot tail??

Yeah, like our Macks are covered in spots, so that should give you a pretty good idea (pics in that other thread, but here are some pics for comparison)... Mack Snow covered in spots:

And then here is a picture of our Line Bred Snow (Nefertari), who has many spots, but isn't as covered:

Here is a Mack Snow baby with lots of spots already:
mega14.jpg

And then here is a baby from Nefertari, who doesn't seem to have as many spots, and the gecko is the same age in this picture as the one pictured above:

So even though Nefertari isn't Hypo, she has less spotting that appears to be passing onto the offspring

Oh that makes sense, thanks Gazz :) Yeah I thought she didn't have as many spots but wasn't sure why or if this made a difference :)

Yeah we're hoping to breed her in a year or 2 time :) Just got to find her a male to go with :) Going to try and find a breeding book as I know it's quite confusing with different genes etc and I'm still new at all this although this website has helped immensly :)
